For a new blogger like me, getting more visitors to my blog is really the first thing on my mind right now more than anything else. While promoting to friends and family is all to the good, I am fully aware that the reach will not be that far. So, having a website that helps in promoting blogs, now for free if you write a review about it, is really akin to having a dream comes true.

rssHugger.com

In comes rssHugger.com, the new kid on the block whose purpose is to help bloggers to promote their blogs and also to discover the blogs of other people.

Browsing through the site, I have this feeling of looking at a Google search result, except that the results are 100% blog posts. The search is by categories or subjects, as they call them. While it is useful to segregrate the contents (i.e. blogs) into relevant subjects, I find it really a hassle to find a specific post as I have to go through the whole list. A search form would be most helpful.

Getting listed

There are two ways to get your blog listed: pay $20 or write a review of the site and get listed for free. Either way, you will be featured in rssHugger.com for 10 years, which I think is really a good offer. I wonder what would happen after 10 years, though. Will we have to write another review or pay a certain amount to keep getting listed?

I do not know how much rssHugger.com will help in increasing the traffic to my blog, but I will give it a try. I am also hoping that, as this is my first ever review of another’s website, my post will be
approved and noted.
